Atlanta, Georgia

The Presbytery organised a Preaching Station in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, in 2004. The church is known locally as the Free Church Atlanta. Rev Warren E Gardner, who had ministered to churches in North Georgia for thirty years, was admitted to the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) in 2004 and appointed resident supply for the new work.

In 2006 the Atlanta Preaching Station became a congregation and Rev. Gardner was inducted as the minister

Encouraging Beginning

It is encouraging to be able to report that the preaching station was raised to the level of a full congregation by the General Assembly in 2006 and Mr Gardner was called as the first minister of the congregation.

There is a book & sermon tape library established for those attending the church. Time for Christian fellowship is very important and an annual all-age conference has been established for fellowship across the Presbytery.
