The two main church buildings in Snizort congregation were built under the supervision of the Rev Roderick MacLeod (or “Maighstir Ruairidh”). These were erected in 1847 (Skeabost Bridge) and 1860/1 (Uig). In the 19th century they were the scenes of great spiritual blessing and revival. Since 1900 the same evangelical witness has continued in Snizort.

You can see Loch Snizort in the middle of the map. If you pull the slide control on the left of the map up to where the arrow is you will be able to see the village of Skeabost, where our church is located. Zooming out again will show you how to get there from Portree, the main town on the island.
